Engineering

Why study Engineering?

We've worked with industry to develop degrees that address the growing complexity of the engineering profession. As new industries and technologies emerge, engineers are expected to be more versatile – able to work internationally and across traditional engineering disciplines.

Choose a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) and you’ll be able to specialise in construction, environmental and transport engineering, or managing people and projects. There is currently a shortage of civil engineers in Australia.

Choose a Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Industrial) to learn how to improve business practices and systems, utilising the latest in advanced technologies. On graduation, you could find yourself working in such industries as aerospace and defence, automotive, machinery/manufacturing, metals mining, oil and gas, and pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.

Career opportunities

We'll prepare you to work in roles that demand global thinking, innovation and technical expertise. You'll graduate ready to manage people and projects in:

  • manufacturing
  • resources
  • infrastructure development
  • healthcare
  • consulting
  • project management
  • the government sector.
